“Funky Light”, the theme of the 4th Digital Art Festival, Taipei 2009, reflects the phenomenon that often occurs in the field of art creation. Creativity is carried through the use of light, dark and other media. The creative form of light and dark not only pushes the boundary of art, but explores the immense possibilities in art development.

Open calls for competition entries to select the best theme of activity--- so as to inspire entrants to submit related discourses on digital art, aesthetics and trendsetting and innovative concepts. All entrants require downloading “Application Forms for the 3rd Digital Art Criticism Awards 2009” and fill out the application form on a computer.

For the opening of Digital Art Center Taipei (DAC), two artists with distinctive styles are invited to exhibit their unique forms of expression in digital art. The making of the DAC is presented in a friendly and adorable way, which forms a contrast with the DAC that is about to extend beyond the traditional form. The DAC’s objective of excelling in R&D and other fields are depicted by two artists in two totally different artistic styles. The official opening and the launch of operations in the DAC will be presented in the artworks at this two-person exhibition.
