我的確有一隻倉鼠叫Fatty。
她陪伴我度過了很多失意的，寂寞的，快樂的，春夏秋冬的異鄉日子
當我看到她在我旁邊搔搔癢，雙手握著食物吃東西的樣子
或是眼睛閉著睡覺的時候
我都看著她， 想她心裡在想什麼?
而當我看到她在滾輪上努力奔跑的時候，她眼睛好像都看著一個很遠的地方
一個她很想去的地方
有一次她不小心跑出籠子
我緊張的不知道該怎麼辦，因為他是我在異鄉唯一的依靠阿!
當我開始胡思亂想他會跑到哪裡去的時候，腦中出現好多畫面
還好後來Fatty找到了， 在三分鐘之後。
過了很久以後這變成了我故事的靈感
既然Fatty他不會說話也不會演戲，那我就讓他說一個我的故事吧!
當小女孩在傷心與疑惑中成長時，我也在冒險與學習中找到愛。
很多人都說這是一部兒童電影，他的確是一部兒童電影， 但是， 0-100歲， 你都可以是兒童。
Synopsis:
A little girl is writing a letter to her pet hamster “Fatty”in this short cut out animation, stop motion characters are combined with collage backgrounds and cut outs of real hamster to make this fantasy story. Fatty meets lots of animals during her travels and learns about outside world.
導演介紹
曾心怡
曾心怡是動畫短片導演,動畫與電腦合成師. 出生於台灣南投，畢業於彰化師大美術系與美國南加州大學動畫研究所.他擅長以多媒材融合傳統與電腦技巧製作動畫短片.研究所畢業作品”Dear Fatty”曾獲得2008年芝加哥兒童動畫影展的動畫類評審團大獎. 他現在在洛杉磯的廣告公司工作並積極學習與從事自己的創作。
Hsin-I Tseng
Hsin-I Tseng is a native of Taiwan who just received her MFA in John C. Hench Animation & Digital Arts at the University of Southern California in 2007. She extended her fine arts background into making traditional, computer and special effects animations at USC and has been making short films since 2003. She has also worked on several music videos and TV commercials. Now she is working in the industry while continuing to focus on compositing, stop-motion, and digital animation, as well as creating her own independent pieces.
