Taipei Digital Art Festival – Exhibition Organizing Project
Taipei City Government has organized Taipei Digital Art Festival successfully for four years consecutively. For enriching the content of the activity, Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government and Digital Art Center, Taipei, the organizers, will invite international curators (teams) for cooperation in order to introduce international masterpieces with the pioneering digital art exhibition plan; also, to work with Digital Art Center, Taipei for creativity communication.
Taipei Art Festival is on the way into the fifth year. Due to the necessity of international art communication and exhibition organization for digital resources integration, special pageant campaign of international exhibition organization is planned for Taipei Digital Art Festival. Curator (team) is to propose exhibition plan and project for domestic and international technology and art resources integration in order to establish Taiwan digital art and international network for realizing digital art development and concept.
1. Citizens or registered groups of the Republic of China
2. Applicants are to produce the prospectus and exhibit administrative experience in the field (including activity title, exhibition planning, and international exhibition plan and budget)
1. Exhibition planning must be with a theme on digital art
2. Planning, term, expected result, and adequacy evaluation of quality and budget
3. Experience of applicant (team) in exhibition planning and the feasibility of this plan
4. Ability of applicant (team) in resources integration
1. Application date: March 1 ~ 31, 2010
2. Notify qualified candidates individually for review in 15 days
3. Awarding date: Before April 15, 2010
4. Plan schedule: From the date of the agreement signed to the case close date
1. Application form (original copy) – It includes application form, applicant’s profile (including education, exhibition planning experience, and art administration), prospectus, budget planning (including sponsors or other resources integration plan), plan budget, and attachment.
2. Four-copy prospectus includes:
I. Exhibition planning theme, exhibition planning introduction, and schedule (including exhibition equipment list, international artist itinerary, and masterpieces shipped to Taiwan)
II. Minimum five international masterpieces exhibited
III. For the planning of creative forum, minimum three artists (teams) are invited to attend the grand opening ceremony and forum of Taipei Digital Art Festival
3. Application attachments:
I. Curator’s I.D Card photocopy (registration certificate photocopy of the apply group)
II. Supporting document of experience in domestic and international exhibition planning
III. Curator’s dissertation or articles in the related field for reference
4. Please submit comprehensive submittals for application. Application filed with incomplete submittals will be disqualified

1. Exhibition booth design, exhibition planning, preliminary budget and expected result (including the international theme vision made available to the Foundation)
2. Exhibition booth construction and recovery plan (exhibition booth construction includes recovery plan budget that does not go over NT$900,000)
1. Preliminary review: Qualified candidates may go for an interview
2. Review: Qualified candidates are interviewed for 30 minutes to explain the content, execution, and budget of their plan. Candidates who have failed to present their plan in person will be disqualified.
3. Applicants are to produce supporting documents for reference during the review.
1. The curator (team) must acquire the letter of authorization from the invited artists in one month after the awarding. The Foundation will have a collaboration agreement signed with the awarded curator once the letter of authorization is received from over 60% of the invited artists. The execution, fund distribution, reporting expense, and rights and obligations of the parties to the agreement are regulated in the agreement. The organizers are entitled to select the substitutes for exhibition if the agreement is not signed successfully with the awarded curator.
2. The curator (team) is to raise fund for any expense over the budget; moreover, it must be arranged together with the sponsors and with the consent of the organizer.
3. The quality of the international masterpieces for exhibition must be by comparing to the quality of the masterpieces exhibited previously.
4. Taipei Digital Art Festival is scheduled on November 12~21, 2010 with the exhibiting location yet to be announced.
5. New announcements are to be made and consolidated into the Prospectus.
Remark: For any disputes over Taipei Digital Art Festival - Exhibition Organizing Project in English version, the Chinese version shall prevail. The Foundation will not have the agreement issued in English version.
